There are black bears, brown bears, polar bears, asiastic black bear, sloth bear, spectacled bear, sun bear, and giant panda. I will tell you about these bears on this page.
Cubs
In North America, there are three different types of bears which are the black bear, grizzly bear, and polar bear but, the smallest of these is also the most common. This is the black bear. Cubs are born in a cave or a den in late January or early February. These cubs usually weigh about half a pound. Cubs leave the den about 3 months of age to learn to be like her mother. They learn what to eat and what to be afraid of. The female bear is very protective of her cubs and will risk her life to defend the cubs from predators such as the male bears. (especially) Before fall at 18 months of age, the sows would send the cubs on their way to survive alone. The young female will then find another male to mate with and get ready for next winter.
Black Bear: What they eat
Black bears are omnivores ( meaning they both eat plant and animal material) Their diet varies each season.Early in the spring they feed on the remains of dead carcasses left over from the winter. In the summer, they chew grasses, small insects, and rodents. (such as mice and rats) In the fall, they eat berries, seeds, fish, dead animals they find laying around or, if a bear gets lucky, it will find a bee hive and eat all the honey and bees.
